Interested in working for Grandstand Magazine, the CJC’s new student-run sports publication?

We’re looking for students interested in feature storytelling, social media, editing, digital design, photography and more. Grandstand pushes you to think differently about sports storytelling; we will challenge you to come up with unique ideas and produce work that’s thoughtful, deeply reported and engaging.

Applications are open now. Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply.

Grandstand Magazine is both a publication and a class offered from the UF’s College of Journalism and Communications. Applicants will be required to submit their resume, a cover letter plus your online portfolio. Include where possible samples of three writing, social media and/or photo work.

Selected applicants are required to enroll JOU4201 Grandstand Magazine or Intro to Grandstand (1 credit) to be on staff. Prerequisites may apply; see Professor Hunt for more information. Enrollment in the class is via application only.

Schedule change: The Grandstand class will meet FRIDAY in the spring during periods 5-6 (11:40am-12:35pm).
